George Pino is on trial in Miami for manslaughter and vessel homicide in the 2022 Biscayne Bay boat crash that killed 17-year-old Lucy Fernandez and left Katy Puig with a catastrophic brain injury. Bob and Ali Motta break it down LIVE, gavel to gavel — every witness, every ruling, real-time analysis from a practicing criminal defense attorney. Pino, a Doral real estate broker, was at the controls of a 29-foot Robalo packed with teenage girls celebrating his daughter's 18th birthday when it slammed into a channel marker near Boca Chita Key. Investigators recovered 61 empty alcohol containers. He declined a blood test — "I had two beers" — no field sobriety test was done, and bodycam footage from four FWC officers was later deleted. Initially charged with only three misdemeanors, Pino now faces up to 30 years. We cover the spoliation and due-process fight over the deleted footage, the split between the FWC officers, the "momentary lapse" defense vs. the State's recklessness theory, the alcohol-evidence battle, and the jury's site visit to the boat.
