Welcome back to the FIVE YouTube channel! Today, Joe Tomlinson is joined by world-renowned journalist David Ornstein from the Athletic, as they take a dive into what actually happens on transfer deadline day from a journalist perspective! They discuss the routine from waking up until the transfer window closes. Who does David speak to the most on the day? Any contacts with clubs? As well as asking David questions such as how he gains his contacts, his view on a selection of deadline day transfers such as Chelsea’s transfer operation, Ziyech to PSG, how to handle fake stories, how to go about announcing a transfer story, competing against other football journalists to break news and much more!
