At the top of today’s podcast, Adam tells Bryan and Gina about his recent conversation with actor Justin Long about the problems with a society that has too many rules and regulations. He also talks about getting his first mani-pedi in Naples, and how he’s been totally fine touring the country for the past year while everyone else is locked down. Producer Chris then brings in some Trending Topics to discuss, including stories about Dolly Parton, Russell Crowe, and mask demonstrations in front of Trader Joes. At the top of Part 2 of today’s podcast, Adam welcomes George Gallo to the podcast. The guys talk about the writing process of his new movie, ‘The Comeback Trail’, and how he got the legendary lineup of Robert DeNiro, Tommy Lee Jones, and Morgan Freeman on board. They also discuss ‘Midnight Run’, the legacy of actor Charles Grodin, and how DeNiro has changed (or not) over the decades. Later they chat about how hard it is to make good art when you have a committee to satisfy, and the show wraps up with Gina Grad’s News!
