Rob Beckett puts twelve contestants to the test on Tempting Fortune. This week, we’re putting him to the test with a table full of his favourite things. Rob joins Nick and Angela over a glass of his favourite squash and a snack of biltong as Tempting Fortune returns to Channel 4 for its third series. He shares tales from filming in the Malaysian jungle, including an unexpected disagreement with some monkeys, alongside a catch-up on life after his latest stand-up tour. Currently on the hunt for protein, Rob is in luck as Angela serves up creamy pea pasta with crispy garlic sausage, marking the long-awaited debut of cottage cheese on Dish! Swapping in for the usual mascarpone, full-fat cottage cheese brings the creaminess to the sauce, making this a first appearance well worth the wait. It’s served alongside a bottle of Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Quincié, selected by the Waitrose wine experts. While we might have been hoping for some Celebrity Traitors gossip, sadly Rob’s keeping those secrets firmly under wraps. Luckily, Angela has plenty to share when it comes to the secrets of the perfect rotisserie chicken, just in time for Rob’s current and fiercely competitive chicken competition. And while chicken might be his main focus right now, we learn that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s keen to cook the rest of the time.
