An independent UVU-hired investigation found that TPUSA and its security team, led by Brian Harpole and Dan Flood, refused to cooperate with the inquiry into Charlie Kirk’s assassination, ignoring phone calls and certified letters. The report contradicts Harpole’s claims during his interview with Shawn Ryan in which he claimed that TPUSA initiated and insisted on the outdoor Fountain Courtyard venue, lied about projected attendance and security concerns, managed ticketing to hide crowd size, and never requested drone support or coverage of the Losee Center roof. Jimmy and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger also show that Harpole falsely claimed drone use was illegal and that all rooftops were a concern, when TPUSA only asked UVUPD to secure the Hall of Flags walkway directly above Kirk, which police did. The report concludes that TPUSA’s lack of coordination, stonewalling, and misleading statements significantly undermined security planning, while the campus police chief repeatedly tried and failed to coordinate.
