Her body was reportedly discovered concealed under a bed, wrapped in a blanket, covered with life jackets. The cause of death, according to the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner: mechanical asphyxiation. Her sixteen-year-old stepbrother has been charged as an adult with first-degree murder and an additional serious federal charge. He has pleaded not guilty.
