Dozens of women allegedly taken. Wells allegedly used as graves. An entire community that reportedly knew something was wrong. And an investigation that lasted three days. The case of Donald Dean Studey reads like fiction — except it's not. Lucy Studey-McKiddy has been alleging since 2007 that her father killed dozens of women in the remote Green Hollow area of Iowa, about 40 miles from Omaha. She says she was there as a child. She says she carried the lye. She says she knew what the well was for. Don Studey reportedly had a violent past, multiple wives, and several women connected to him are dead under suspicious circumstances. Charlotte Studey reportedly died in 1984 from a gunshot wound to the head in Omaha — ruled self-inflicted for decades, now officially reclassified as undetermined after a re-autopsy. In 2022, cadaver dogs reportedly alerted at multiple spots on the property. The FBI drilled a well and left. Lucy says it was the wrong one. Since then, a production team has reportedly spent years and hundreds of thousands of dollars continuing to investigate. The resulting Paramount+ documentary, My Killer Father: The Green Hollow Murders, reportedly features new witnesses and alleged accomplice testimony.
