Gavel to Gavel coverage: Fourteen years after UNC student Faith Hedgepeth was found beaten to death in her apartment, the man charged with her murder is finally on trial. The State says the DNA is "loud and clear." The defense says a "match" is "not even close to what it is." So do they have the right guy? GLOSSIP ISSUE FOR MONDAY • There was a note left at the scene in black lettering. On Friday the State introduced a photograph they found Aunt's computer that they claim was a sample of his handwriting. The judge even found the handwritings to be similar enough to warrant admission of this photograph so that the jury could decide for themselves whether the handwriting was his.
