Hey Clutterbugs! If you've been decluttering for weeks and your house STILL looks like a mess, let me be the first to tell you you're doing everything right. If you're putting in the work without seeing results, you're not failing. You're in the Valley of Disappointment, and it's exactly where you're supposed to be. After 17 years as a professional organizer, I've learned that progress isn't linear. You can work for days, weeks, even months without seeing visible change—and then suddenly, like magic, everything clicks. But most people quit right before they reach that breakthrough moment. In this episode, I'm breaking down the Valley of Disappointment (a concept from Atomic Habits by James Clear) and showing you what it looks like for each organizing style. Because understanding WHERE you are in the process is the difference between giving up and pushing through to that transformational moment. The Valley of Disappointment is temporary. Your breakthrough is right around the corner. Don't quit now—you're closer than you think. Go work on a space that feels stalled while you listen. Make it 1% better. That's all you need to do today.
