Gabriella Lester is an internationally award-winning magician, escape artist, stunt performer, and one of the fastest-rising names in modern magic. This week, she joins Pete Holmes for a truly magical episode of You Made It Weird! Gabriella has been performing magic since childhood and became one of the youngest performers to take on Houdini’s legendary suspended straitjacket escape at just 14 years old. She’s gone on to perform around the world, headline Hollywood’s legendary Magic Castle, appear on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, and later join Fool Us behind the scenes as an associate producer. Now Gabriella is taking her magic to an entirely different level as one of the four featured “Horsemen” in Lionsgate’s Now You See Me LIVE, the international stage spectacular inspired by the blockbuster Now You See Me films. Pete and Gabriella get into the psychology of magic, illusion, risk, creativity, performing under pressure, and what possesses someone to willingly hang upside down in a straitjacket for an audience. They also explore what happens when the mechanics of a trick collide with something much harder to explain: our desire to believe in the impossible. Magic isn’t Gabriella’s only adrenaline-fueled obsession. She’s also an experienced motorcycle rider and stunt performer, bringing the same appetite for risk and precision to life offstage. Whether you love magic, comedy, Penn & Teller, Now You See Me, or simply want to understand how a professional magician thinks, this is a wonderfully weird conversation. 🎩 See Gabriella in Now You See Me LIVE 🪄 Watch Gabriella’s appearance on Penn & Teller: Fool Us 🌐 Visit GabriellaLester.ca for shows, tickets, videos, and more 📲 Follow Gabriella @gabriellalester 🎧 Subscribe to You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes for new episodes every week. #GabriellaLester #YouMadeItWeird #PeteHolmes #NowYouSeeMeLive #NowYouSeeMe #PennAndTeller #FoolUs #Magician #Magic #EscapeArtist ==================================================== SUPPORT OUR SPONSORS Thank you VITA COCO for being our official ON SET BEVERAGE Get 25% off and get Vita Coco shipped to your door by using code WEIRD20 https://vitacoco.com MAGIC MIND GET 20% OFF YOUR ORDER http://magicmind.com/weird QUINCE FREE SHIPPING & 365 DAY RETURNS http://quince.com/weirdo BETTER HELP GET 10% OFF YOUR 1ST MONTH http://betterhelp.com/weirdo
