Episode #814 Home prices are about to slowly slump, real estate agents get their listings held for ransom, “deflation” concerns begin to grow, and multibillion-dollar lawsuits could change real estate investing forever. In other news, it’s just another day in the 2023 housing market. Some say the sky is falling, others are optimistic, but what do the equally named yet unequally-haired Daves think will happen? Tune into this BiggerNews to find out! David Greene and Dave Meyer are reviewing some top headlines on today’s real estate market. Whether you love them or not, real estate agents are at the center of this episode as new lawsuits and cybersecurity attacks put their careers at risk. And this is no exaggeration—one of these stories could foreshadow “the beginning of the end” for real estate as we know it, and David has some strong opinions to share. We’ll also touch on how “deflation” could push prices down as the US economy enters shaky territory and what would have to happen for us to realize this notorious economic event. And if you’re ready to buy or sell a home this year, we have good/bad news for you (depending on what you’re doing) as Goldman Sachs releases their newest home price predictions for 2023 and 2024. ~~~~ Join BiggerPockets for FREE 👇 https://www.biggerpockets.com/signup?utm_source=owned_media ~~~~ Expand Your Investing Knowledge With the BiggerPockets Books: https://store.biggerpockets.com/?utm_source=owned_media ~~~~ Find an Investor-Friendly Agent in Your Area: http://biggerpockets.com/agentmatch ~~~~ Find Investor-Friendly Lenders: http://biggerpockets.com/lendermatch ~~~~ Hear Dave on the “On the Market” Podcast: https://www.biggerpockets.com/podcasts/on-the-market?utm_source=owned_media ~~~~ Stories from Today’s Episode: Home Prices: https://www.biggerpockets.com/blog/goldman-sachs-home-price-forecast-says-prices-will-go-sideways?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=none Deflation: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/deflation-could-soon-hit-us-012106807.html Cyberattacks: https://www.housingwire.com/articles/real-estate-agents-grapple-with-cyberattack-on-rapattoni/ Agent Lawsuits: https://www.businessinsider.com/real-estate-agents-lawsuits-buy-sell-homes-forever-housing-market-2023-6 ~~~~~ New Agent Lawsuits Could Have Profound Effects for Buying and Selling Homes: https://www.biggerpockets.com/blog/on-the-market-135?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=none ~~~~ Where America’s Most Accurate Forecaster Sees Home Prices in 2024: https://www.biggerpockets.com/blog/on-the-market-133?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=none ~~~~ Connect with Dave and David on BiggerPockets: Dave: https://www.biggerpockets.com/users/davem27?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=none David: https://www.biggerpockets.com/users/davidgreene24?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=none ~~~~ Follow Dave, David, and BiggerPockets on Instagram: Dave: @thedatadeli or https://www.instagram.com/thedatadeli/ David: @davidgreene24 or https://www.instagram.com/davidgreene24/ BiggerPockets: @biggerpockets or https://www.instagram.com/biggerpockets/ Show notes at: https://www.biggerpockets.com/blog/real-estate-814?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=none
