In this episode, we dig into the perplexing case of 9-year-old Melodee Buzzard and her mother, Ashlee Buzzard, a case that stalled and left far more questions than answers. We break down the recent court hearing in which a false-imprisonment charge against Ashlee was dismissed due to insufficient evidence, and we examine whether law enforcement and the prosecution moved too quickly, potentially botching the investigation, or whether the true motive behind the charge was pressure on Ashlee to talk about Melodee’s whereabouts. Then we walk through three plausible scenarios for where Melodee might be, including one involving protective concealment, one involving dangerous criminal activity, and one involving a planned disappearance. We recap what we do know: media reports of child welfare investigations, homeschooling status, a road trip in a rental vehicle returned without damage, plate-swaps and disguises, Ashlee’s lack of cooperation, and the looming question: will the state invoke a statute like Idaho officials did in the Lori Daybell case to detain Ashlee until Melodee is found? #MelodeeBuzzard #AshleeBuzzard #MissingChild #CaliforniaMissingChild #SantaBarbaraCounty #FalseImprisonmentDismissed #WhereIsMelodee #RoadTripMystery #RentalCarTrace #ChildWelfareInvestigation #GIS #Esri #BentEar #Mapping #forensic #circumstantial ======================================= Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com ======================================== LOOKING FOR WAYS TO SUPPORT PROFILING EVIL? 💳 DONATE: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=T54JX76RZ455S 💵 PayPal: https://paypal.me/profilingevil 🕵️BECOME A MEMBER: https://www.youtube.com/profilingevil/join 🛒SHOP MERCH: https://www.profilingevil.com/profilingevilshop 📖SHOP BOOKS: https://www.profilingevil.com/store
