Jimmy interviews Miko Peled, an Israeli-American activist and former Israel’s Special Forces soldier whose grandfather signed Israel's Declaration of Independence and whose father was a general in the IDF—yet who now rejects Zionism and advocates for a single democratic state in all of historic Palestine. Peled explains that he broke from his family's ideology after realizing that Israel was born from the Nakba, a campaign of ethnic cleansing and genocide against Palestinians, and that the IDF was never a "moral army" but an instrument of apartheid. He exposes the myth that Palestinians have equal rights in Israel, detailing how multiple bureaucracies, secret police control, and water apartheid (Palestinians receive 3% of the water for 7.5 million people) prove otherwise. Peled concludes that Zionism is white supremacist settler colonialism, and that the only solutions are to either support genocide or dismantle the regime and replace it with a free Palestine—predicting that like South Africa, the apartheid state will collapse, and people will choose life over nuclear suicide.
