Join Bob and Ali LIVE as Kouri Richins faces two crucial days of evidentiary hearings that could shape her entire murder trial. THE CASE: Kouri Richins, 35, is charged with aggravated murder for allegedly poisoning her husband Eric Richins with fentanyl in March 2022. After his death, she wrote a children’s book about grief called “Are You With Me?” and promoted it on local TV. Prosecutors say she was drowning in debt and stood to gain from life insurance. She’s been sitting in Summit County Jail for nearly 3 years awaiting trial. WHAT’S AT STAKE IN THESE HEARINGS: ⚖️ Motion to Suppress Phone Evidence - Defense says detectives illegally seized her phone during a 2022 traffic stop without a warrant ⚖️ Miranda Rights Violation - Did investigators question her for 5 hours without reading her rights? ⚖️ The “Walk the Dog” Letter - Prosecutors call it witness tampering; defense says it’s a fictional mystery novel she’s writing ⚖️ Robert Crozier’s Recantation - The key witness who originally said he sold fentanyl now claims it was OxyContin ⚖️ Brady Violation Claims - Defense accuses prosecutors of hiding exculpatory evidence for months WHY THIS MATTERS: If the defense succeeds in suppressing key evidence, the state’s circumstantial case gets significantly weaker heading into the February trial. As defense attorneys, we’ll break down the constitutional issues, the strategic plays, and what Judge Mrazik’s rulings could mean for Kouri’s chances. 💬 Drop your questions in the chat — we’re covering this LIVE! 🔔 Subscribe & hit the bell for all Kouri Richins case updates #utah #SummitCounty #FentanylMurder #truecrimecommunity #criminaldefense #legalanalysis #defenseattorney #murdertrial #EvidentiaryHearing #MotionToSuppress #constitutionalrights #truecrimeyoutube #criminaljustice #defensediaries #GriefAuthor #ParkCity #livecoverage #courttv
