MA v Lindsay Clancy SUMMARY: Clancy, 35 is accused of k*lling her three children ( aged 5, 3 & 8 months) on 1/24/23, with exercise bands, after her husband went to pick up takeout, and became a paraplegic after jumping out of a second-story window at her Duxbury home. Her attorney has argued that she was overmedicated and had undiagnosed postpartum depression. Clancy has been under the custody of the Department of Mental Health since at least May 2023, and is being held at Tewksbury Hospital. Trial is scheduled to start in July of 2026. She has pleaded not guilty to three counts each of m*rder and strangulation or suffocation. Clancy’s attorney, Kevin J. Reddington, has indicated that the defense will assert a “lack of criminal responsibility,” commonly known as the insanity defense.
