“It's never worth it to sacrifice your health and how you feel for something because you are going to be good enough in whatever way you choose to show up. You do not have to try to fit into a mold that someone else is designing just to be good enough for them.”

A model must be able to adapt their personal style to match the specific look requested by a brand or agency.

“we we would like to have you on but also we need to know what style you represent I was like oh but I wear Lolita style and they're like M we already have Lolita models so like you have to and I was like M okay and then he was like oh you have to like select a style that's uniquely yours”

He claims that his rise to the top was based on strategy rather than luck.

“everything that people said well you're lucky to work with dr varna and i can say that wasn't luck it was strategy”

The modeling industry has not changed significantly and remains an environment where young people are vulnerable to manipulation by predators.

“Well, I don't think the industry changed that much. No. No. Yeah, human beings don't change that much.”

Rejection in the modeling industry is a form of redirection that helps build character.

“I think rejection is redirection and I think it's important and it builds character being rejected and not getting everything you want the first time and I think it's important to have to work for things in life”

He suggests that male models face unwanted pressure from photographers who act as industry gatekeepers.

“there's this weird thing in the modeling industry where I work for like major brands, but in order to get to those brands, you have to have good portfolio photos and that's where you go through the photographers and they are like the gatekeepers.”

The modeling industry was used as a front to facilitate the trafficking of impoverished minors from war-torn regions.

“He found young, impoverished minors from war-torn countries, you know, wars that were being waged because of the actions of our government, and then he funneled them into modeling agencies and across Victoria's Secret runways while the world ooh'd and ah'd at their beauty and their fresh faces, neve”

Modeling and doing editorial shoots like Sports Illustrated require the ability to overcome fear and perform without overthinking.

“my like mentality when i like do stuff is like don't think about it and then when you get there you just like do it yeah because if i think about it i'll just like i can freak out”
