“I mean just um I'm really glad that we're here this year because I think this we'll all look back and go remember kind of launching out of covid and and and what a way to do it and I just that feeling of after after watching things on television for you know two years just about to to be in a room w”

Returning to the festival to support an director one has worked with is a profound experience.

“so to be returning to that quadrant of the festival for him and for all of us in his wake was really profound and I think it screamed really well so we're very proud of the film and it was a great you know platform”

Michelle Yeoh views the Cannes Film Festival as a vital venue for celebrating films and fostering community among filmmakers.

“it's always great to be in Khan because it's got such a good atmosphere and we all come for the movies that we love right so Canada is a really really wonderful place for that”

“Obviously, this is um we hope we hope that when we put so much of our time and effort into a project, we only hope that it's wellreceived or that at least it's not hated, you know. And um and and so this over exceeded my expectations. The reception was amazing.”
