The United States must invest heavily in factory automation to remain competitive against Chinese manufacturers.

The United States should adopt a more efficient and scalable shipbuilding model that utilizes autonomous technology to compete with China's production capacity.

“If a conflict kicks off, that commercial capacity isn't going to go to building cargo containers anymore. It's all going to flip to defense capacity, and it's going to be building for what the Chinese Communist Party needs to to win a conflict. And that's what we have to be building towards.”

Building large-scale manufacturing facilities in anticipation of demand is essential to serving customers effectively because capacity cannot be built instantly.

“And so that's I think to me just the why it's so hard to achieve this scale because you have to build this in anticipation of demand by the time the demand is here if you don't have a facility like this you're too late”

Hasan Piker contends that the US government's focus on domestic manufacturing is driven by national security concerns regarding China, rather than a genuine desire to create good-paying jobs.

“that's precisely the reason why America cares about moving manufacturing back to the United States it's a matter of national security it has nothing to do with labor it has nothing to do with good paying jobs.”

The manufacturing sector is facing significant challenges, including a lack of new orders, tariff impacts that businesses cannot fully pass on, and deteriorating margins.

“manufacturing is not happy about tariffs uh lack of uh inability to price to pass on tariff impacts uh lower sales order activity and Um, decreasing margins and uh lower comps, manufacturing.”

There is currently no evidence that the current administration's policies have successfully shifted the trajectory of US manufacturing.

“But no, there's no there's not yet and I I to give be fair to the president. I think you have to say not yet any sign that his policies have changed the trajectory of manufacturing in the United States.”

He asserts that manufacturing jobs are increasing significantly and that there is a large amount of capital investment currently coming into the country.

“The thing that I'm most excited about is you do see a large amount of capital investment coming into our country. Factories being built. Construction jobs are way up. Manufacturing jobs are starting to catch up.”

He emphasizes the importance of reinvigorating manufacturing in America to show what is possible.

“anybody who gets around the country sees that things are tough in certain areas, like really super tough in other areas. and and and the idea of reinvigorating manufacturing and and showing people what's possible. I mean, that's the idea.”

The government should partner with the private sector to restore American manufacturing capacity to ensure a well-balanced economy.

“it's not that we need manufacturing as the penultimate industry it's that we needed it to be part of a well-balanced economy and so the push to rebalance the economy with China to bring production back which by the way is in China's own interests”

The United States should implement industrial policy to incentivize and bring back manufacturing capacity to the country.

“I think it we as I said earlier in the industrial policy in this country, I think we need industrial policy to bring chip manufacturing back. It's very important.”
