He thinks John Lennon is overrated and his solo music is boring.

He believes the Beatles were great but prefers Paul McCartney's solo work over John Lennon's.

“The Beatles were great at what they did but it's like saying and I love Nirvana but it's like saying Nirvana created the thing they didn't create the thing Sonic Youth and the Melvin there were other bands doing it before Nirvana but Nirvana did it in a formula that caught”

He considers Frank Sinatra to be an overrated singer akin to a glorified karaoke performer.
