He argues that once someone engages in specific criminal or violent behaviors, they cannot be labeled as a civilian.

He believes that many older generation rappers were faking their street personas, whereas many in the current generation are legitimately from the streets.

He believes that embracing a rap career is a viable way to transition out of a dangerous street life.
