The civil war in Sudan is being fueled by external powers, including the UAE and Russia, who provide support to prolong the conflict for their own interests.

“If supplies to these two sides slowed down, um I think we would see this war start to die down uh quite a bit as well. So, so outside powers and backers of these two sides are clearly helping prolong the war.”

The war in Sudan is primarily a conflict between two warring factions that are both at fault for perpetuating mass violence against the civilian population to protect their power.

“This war is very different from other conflicts in the sense that both protagonist um are at fault. Both protagonists are uh you know enacting a huge kind of devastation against the civilian population.”
