Courtney contends that she was a victim of ongoing sexual abuse and grooming by her father, who used his position as police chief to intimidate her and prevent her from speaking out.

“I'm a survivor of sexual assault as a child, satanic ritual abuse, and my father's molestation throughout my whole life. He is the chief of police.”

The state has an absolute duty to protect children from sexual abuse, and it is unacceptable for authorities to fail to prosecute offenders regardless of the victims' backgrounds.

“when they don't have a family or somebody like me protecting them then that is the duty of the state to step in Social Services the police to make sure they're protected and what I saw was the absolute opposite of that”

Heidi Bruno claims that an adult man in a position of power engaging with a 16-year-old girl is inherently abusive.

“I wish someone had just said when a 30-year-old says they're in love with you that is immediately abuse. like there is no world where that is okay.”

The girl claims that her father engaged in sexual acts with her starting when she was five years old.

“And um now I live with my dad when I was about to turn five which that's when the sexual started happening when I was five.”

Ryan Reese denies that he ever engaged in any sexual acts with his daughter.
