“I tell them I don't care where it is that's why I don't encourage people to to lock themselves down when they're 22 years old I never if you want to get married whatever you want to I don't care but if you want to do this business you can't do that”

“it really is just like figure it out go hit the pavement and you make that work if that's the job that you want make them give it to you but you had some point early on where you moved to la to try to chase after the acting thing”

Prospective broadcasters should volunteer and seek out low-level work to gain necessary experience and prove their dedication to the profession.

“you need to go in cut your teeth pay your dues and i'm so happy to hear that you did that”

Gabby Logan emphasizes the importance of gaining extensive practical experience and putting in groundwork before expecting career advancement.

“I innately felt that it was almost like I was doing an apprenticeship in what I wanted to do at the same time and as well as earning me you know some cash as a student is always handy but I was getting this experience and the hours and hours and hours of doing that meant that when I did get the oppo”

Success in broadcasting is achieved by relentlessly pursuing opportunities and proving one's value rather than waiting to be given roles.

“Its existence is the single and proven reason why we in this country do not have the damaging polarized news market that they have, say, in the United States of America.”

“it's an unfair, aggressive tax where the poorest people have to pay the most percentage of their um, income for it, whether they want to or not, just to watch TV.”
