It is disappointing when a player holds onto the ball instead of passing to an open teammate during a critical World Cup moment.

“Forget represent the team. Forget, you know, representing just the fans. When you have a whole country that's backing you and relying on you to to to to pull through, especially when money's on the line cuz you know they you know they betting heavy.”

The US team showed high quality and confidence in their victory, but they must maintain this level of performance against stronger opponents in later stages.

“If we can play as confident as we were, everybody was confident on the ball, you know, passing the ball well, you know, in all three phases of the game. We were phenomenal, especially inside the 18.”

Shannon Sharpe asserts that Portugal's national team is underperforming because they are too passive and fail to attack as aggressively as other top teams like Spain.

“Portugal just looks is looks so lacadasical. They don't have very many chances on ball. They're supposed to be supposedly have one the one of the best midfields in the game, Punken Joe. And they they don't they don't they don't dictate the way they do. They don't attack the way they should.”

He thinks that players who represent a country should be residents of that country.

“Maybe we do need the guys that are playing in the countries in which they play in and place that they call residency play for those teams.”

Harry Kane played poorly in England's match against Ghana and failed to meet expectations.

“Ary didn't look like he wanted to be on the pitch. And then he gets an opportunity and what does he do? I mean kicks [laughter] it out of the stadium misses a sitter.”

England's performance in their recent World Cup match against Ghana was disinterested and poor.

“I hear all this stuff about is coming home is coming is coming after how they looked against Croatia. And boy were they just disinterested from jump yesterday.”

World Cup soccer is an excellent and exciting sport for both watching and gambling.

“It is the sickest [ __ ] sport to watch. It's a sickest sport to gamble on. Like it's [ __ ] epic.”

Conan O'Brien believes the United States should be stronger in soccer and questions why they are not yet competitive with countries like Argentina or Spain.

“Is this a graph that's never going to completely take? Meaning, will we ever be really competitive with Argentina, with uh Spain, some of these other countries?”
