Cenk Uygur argues that defense contractors are the primary problem in the National Defense Authorization Act and that the bill serves their interests rather than national security.

“Yeah, so in this bill we're getting screwed by two different entities. As always, Israel's involved. We'll get to that. Uh but mainly the defense contractors. They're the much bigger um problem in this bill. And uh since the defense bill is unquestioned, this is where they really raw dog us.”

The United States is currently spending excessive amounts on military programs that fail to provide genuine national security.

“The system isn't making us savor. We're spending more and more and more on the military every year and we're getting less and less security from it.”

Anna Kasparian argues that the National Defense Authorization Act is excessively expensive, fails to benefit American taxpayers, and disproportionately benefits weapons manufacturers and Israel.
