Bobby Lee believes that shark diving involves rules like establishing dominance through eye contact and remaining still to ensure safety.

“you have to lock I yes in lock I you have to establish dominance with me shark right what so there's a hierarchy let's be like a dog right so the one in the bottom is submissive the top shark it's like a pecking order”

Khalyla Kuhn claims that she wanted to go shark diving to remove the fear and stigma surrounding sharks and to highlight their importance to the ecosystem.

“the reason I was really keen on going on a shark dive and I know this sounds cheesy is to kind of remove that mystique and that fear that generally people have of sharks”
