The current administration is using ICE to create a climate of fear and performative violence to keep the political base supportive.

“He has convinced Trump that the base wants strong military forces in our streets not just to deport aliens, illegals or otherwise. But he's convinced Trump that it makes Trump powerful if there if there are armed masked men in the streets who can kill people for whatever reason”

The current ICE approach of creating dangerous situations to justify using deadly force is a long-standing pattern of behavior.

“There's a 2014 article that's circulating now about how they how they do this, how they put themselves intentionally in danger in order to justify using deadly force.”

Megyn Kelly argues that the shooting of Renee Good was justified as the ICE officer reasonably feared for his life while performing his duty.

“All that is relevant is he genuinely believed he reasonably believed that he was about to be run over by her.”

Democrats should make abolition of ICE a primary goal and demand the rescinding of previously approved agency funding rather than negotiating for minor reforms.

“There should be no conversation about like reforms for additional funds. The conversation is a in my opinion that's a non-starter. It should be the the only conversation that Democrats should be talking about is ICE abolition and cutting the existing funds that we have already signed off on”

Maria Cardona believes that the current recruitment and training process for ICE agents is critically inadequate and has lowered the quality of new hires.

“they are handing people who want guns with little training who literally want to go out there and hunt immigrants. Michael, and as you know, I'm a Latina. I'm an immigrant. This scares the [ __ ] out of me because while I do not want to paint every single ICE agent with that broad brush, I am scared”

Michael Cohen views the 47-day training program for ICE agents as an irrational, arbitrary policy change motivated solely by political symbolism.

“Why 47 days? The reason why it's 47 days >> is because Donald Trump is the 47th president of the United States. And so I want people to understand just how stupid that is conceptually. If he was the if he was the fifth president of the United States, you could become an ICE agent in 5 days.”

She supports the temporary suspension of immigrant visa processing for specific countries as a necessary step for national immigration control.

“But I love it. I can't wait till it gets to 200 nations and it's nobody can come here.”

She supports the suspension of visas and advocates for further restrictions until the immigration process and the presence of illegal immigrants are under control.

“I would say in general 99% just stop it right now until we get a hold get these illegals out get a hold on this immigration process and and maybe we can slowly open the doors.”
