Ethan Klein claims that people who get platformed for spreading misinformation should allow the subject to come on the show to defend themselves.

“If you're going to platform these lies, allow me the opportunity to come on and defend myself. Like, you are spreading slander and misinformation on your platform and encouraging it.”

Publicly feuding with Joey Merlino on the internet is effective because Merlino reacts defensively when facts about his personal life are exposed.

“I'm giving you things that are hurting your feelings. So, what I had to explain to everybody in Philadelphia is that you're messing with the worst kid because I'm never going to stop. I'm relentless.”

He suggests that content creators often unintentionally instigate violence or retaliation by constantly bringing up sensitive topics with multiple people.

“Vlad always talks about what's the guy Kafani who went and shot a disc on the his ops block and then I don't think Kafani was mad about him bringing it up once, but then he kept bringing it up to like dozens of different people and so then they get pissed off”

He maintains that he did not actually tell on anyone during his police encounter and that the footage was misrepresented.

“What's the worst [ __ ] Offset GD. I'm GD too. They cut that part out, >> right? >> So they saying they asked, "What's going to happen if you run into Offset? He GD. I'm GD. Ain't nothing going to happen." They not saying that part.”
