He notes that traveling to the West Coast and adjusting to the time zone difference is difficult for performing late-night shows.

“although it does hurt you on The Late Show yeah when you're doing a 10 p.m. show and by the time you get on stage it's like the equivalent of God 2 yeah those West Coast late shows are tough”

The host believes that the goal of innovation in podcasting should be to prioritize the consumer experience over beating competitors to new technology.

“I made a big business mistake and I realized this is it I cared about my competition not my consumer and the leg up that I've had in any field that I've been in especially comedy and podcasting my life is I always cared about the consumer”
