The Neo robot is not currently a functional autonomous consumer product and is relying on teleoperation and user-generated training data to potentially work in the future.

“The problem I have is the thing that they're selling is far from that product. And you know, I don't know exactly in this video how much of this stuff is operated. I'm assuming most of it is, but it's like I can give some leeway on it being a little slow or a little clumsy. It's a firstg product.”

Ethan Klein believes that humanoid home robots, specifically the 1X Neo, are currently scam-like products that are not ready for consumer use.

“I'm extremely skeptical that this is um this technology is anywhere close to ready. I think this feels to me like a Kickstarter scam.”

Tom Ward believes the current humanoid robots are a waste of time and incapable of performing basic tasks effectively.

Humanoid robots are being introduced as convenient household tools to mask a broader agenda of centralized control and eventual replacement of the human population.

1X will ship a humanoid robot capable of full autonomy by 2026.

“I am very happy to say that I think we will actually be able to ship something that's very close to full autonomy”

Humanoids are best suited for narrow spaces or working at human eye level rather than the industrial inspection tasks performed by quadruped robots.

“If you need to work, bring, you know, I don't know, in a coffee shop, bring it to there's narrower spaces, right? You want to work in eye level. Maybe a humanoid is better.”

Humanoid robots are a fun and exciting concept, but the current technology is not yet ready for practical consumer use.

“I really want them. It's weird because I feel like I'm really excited about this category because I've lived through so many new tech gadgets and hardware and this is one that we've all seen for so long. We've seen it in in cartoons and we've seen it in movies and it's always this promise and so now”
