He believes the UK political system should implement a ban on all foreign donations and abolish the practice of awarding titles, honors, and peerages to political donors.

“From my perspective, I think there should be a ban on all foreign donations. And to my mind, if you're living in Thailand, that's a foreign donation. There should be no titles and honors and periages given to donors.”

He recommends implementing caps on campaign spending and introducing state funding for political parties to reduce the influence of large private donations.

“And if you replace that with limits on spending and then state funding, I know that many people won't like the idea of state funding, but state funding for these campaigns, it's much more likely to reduce the influence.”
