Neurodivergence is a broad category that can represent a different way of functioning, which, if understood and supported, allows individuals to embrace natural gifts.

“instead of seeing my differences as either a disability or a disadvantage, I began to say everyone is wired differently. This is my unique pattern and how do I use that to advance the things that I’m interested in.”

Brian identifies as someone who is likely neurodivergent because of his clinical social interactions.

“I'm probably new you know neuro Divergent in some way that they had you know what I mean yeah I ain't going to say autistic but like it's something my I I just my interactions be real uh clinical”

Colin supports special education students receiving support in smaller, dedicated classroom settings rather than in integrated classrooms.

“I think it's good that they're they're making a good attempt at trying to raise awareness and be more accepting of neurode divergence. me somebody who suffers from neurode divergence you know like I think that's cool cuz we didn't have that when I was a kid when I had asberers they didn't have that”

He believes autism is an overly broad umbrella term that may eventually fall out of common usage.

“Pierre talks about a couple things in that uh where what I where he says like the the terminology like of the word like autism will probably become like defunct reasonably tune because it's a really big umbrella term.”
