The final series between Licey and Escogido was the most dramatic, emotional, and electric in the history of the Dominican Baseball League.

“we'll have days, months, and years to analyze a final series that has probably been the most dramatic, the most emotional, and the most electric in the history of the Dominican Baseball League.”

Licey's franchise deserves high praise for its historical difficulty and for forcing a seventh game despite being at a disadvantage.

“I would say not only the Caribbean, but one of the 27 most difficult years in baseball has to belong to the Licey Tigers. We have to take our hats off to this franchise that has forced a Game 7. They were up against it, with a packed stadium, and they showed their mettle, forcing this decisive game.”
