The current rash of political violence in the United States is predominantly a problem stemming from the left.

“And if you cannot see that the problem here with this violence, this rash of violence, political violence in this country is almost entirely a leftist problem, that the problem is progressive, then I don't know what to tell you.”

He claims that there is an inherent imbalance in political aggression where conservatives do not initiate violence against left-wing protesters.

“Right, the simple truth that everyone knows is that any far-left wackadoodle could show up at any college in America, and conservatives aren't going to try to burn the place down or pull fire alarms or threaten them or anything else.”

The left has a violence problem because they consistently label Donald Trump as the enemy.

“I would say that the left has a violence problem at this point that needs to be addressed.”

The administration must stop issuing empty threats and actually use force to arrest individuals identified as leftist terrorists who are committing federal crimes.

“They need to hunt down and arrest all of the leftist terrorists who are visibly on camera openly committing federal crimes.”

Antifa should be classified as a terrorist organization and its members held accountable for their actions.

“It's great news that the Trump administration comes out and says Antifa is a terrorist organization in the same way that we think of the Klux Clan as a terrorist organization. We have Antifa. Antifa despite the protestations of the left have uniforms. They have flags.”

Jack Posobiec condemns violent extremism on all sides.

“I'm perfectly fine condemning violent extremism on all sides.”

Kevin Paffrath describes political violence as unacceptable and un-American.

“this is an assault on democracy right here this is effed up uh this is really crazy I'm just surprised that this can happen”

He claims that politicians and leaders from both parties are obligated to explicitly condemn acts of political violence whenever they occur.

“That's why you got to condemn violence and extrajudicial violence where and political violence wherever it happens, whoever commits it, who where whoever it's against. And doing so does not like stop that violence from happening. But not doing so creates an environment where it starts to be a little”

Ethan Klein strongly condemns all forms of political violence and believes that individuals celebrating such acts should be shamed and vilified.

“what happened to Charlie Kirk this morning was [ __ ] was horrific. I deeply deeply deeply condemn it in all possible terms. Anyone celebrating this in any way should be forever shamed, forever uh forever vilified.”

Political violence is always wrong and counterproductive, regardless of the target's actions or perceived status.

“political violence is always wrong and you the idea that you are somehow a hero you can solve any problem with violence is crazy and and it's counterproductive and it never works and um, it only makes more problems and anyone who thinks that political violence is somehow okay or justified”

The host believes that media reporting on mass shootings should avoid sensationalism to prevent copycat crimes based on generalized imitation theory.

“careless media reporting can for lack of a better description May to make a shooter sexy as in their unrelenting Crusade for eyeballs on their screens they end up dramatizing the shooting to the point where it is depicted as some kind of high adrenaline at times bordering on heroic”

Sam Cedar asserts that the underlying factor in recent violent events is the pervasive issue of gun access in the United States.

“But the one thing we know for sure is that it was done with a gun. I mean, that's the underlying factor in all these cases.”

Systemic gun reform is necessary to curb political violence and shootings in the United States.

“They turned back guns. They got rid of the semi-automatics. They forced everybody to register. They've strained out all the people that are mentally ill. And the shooting stopped, Caddy, how about that? The shooting stopped.”

The rise of political violence and the breakdown of societal norms is primarily driven by the influence of social media algorithms on young people.

“I think the single biggest factor that's driving a lot of um the breakdown of of of societal norms and societal threads and societal decency and civility is the internet.”

The United States is not experiencing a terrifying epidemic of political violence, but violent rhetoric from political leaders has increased and encourages or directs potential violence.

“I mean, first of all, it's not an we don't have like an epidemic of political violence. I think it's important to note that uh the there certainly is a lot more violent rhetoric coming out of our political leaders, in particular Trump and people adjacent to him.”
