She claims that for youth in abusive situations, therapy can be overwhelming and unreasonable if the child has not yet developed the capacity to process that trauma.

“And like expecting them to heal from something that they should have never gone through without like a brain that's ready to do it. It's kind of unreasonable.”

He believes the prison sentence effectively saved his life and marriage by removing him from the cycle of addiction.

“But if this didn't happen, Mark, if truly if I would didn't go to prison, I'd still be gambling today, and I'd still be the same degenerate individual that was so caught up in the gambling addiction, that I would never be the human being I am now.”
