Jennifer argues that the podcasting industry displays sexism by criticizing professional women for being direct and aggressive in their communication while similar behavior in men is praised.

“when a woman is aggressive and pointed and advocating for the brand that they built, not the podcasting company built, but that you and I built and we want answers and we want um uh solutions, then you get this please keep it professional response.”

Angie observes that women are unfairly labeled with derogatory terms for being direct in negotiations, whereas men are simply considered shrewd businessmen for the same behavior.

“If a woman says it, she's a [ __ ] If a man says it, he drives a hard bargain. He's a good businessman. And it's completely on display.”
