“when you're at war with a Muslim nation to constantly be using religious Christian religious imagery to do it, you are that that is so counterproductive because it feeds the suggestion that that that can be weaponized against the United States”

“And I mean, there are 1.4 4 billion Catholics and the vast majority of them, myself included, do not pay close attention to ecclesial politics.”

“I agree with the people who are cautioning against imposing an American political paradigm over an institution that has existed for 2,000 years and transcends that paradigm.”

“But the fact that he has leaned so hard in and very recently into a humane view of immigration, how we treat migrants that is an oppos direct opposition to how Trump is doing it seems very positive for what is truly a major political issue in this country”

“it's extremely political. It was as though the only times he was tweeting or retweeting was to make political statements.”
