The investigation into the murder of Elizabeth Barraza remains an active and ongoing process despite the lack of immediate arrests.

“it's now been more than three years since elizabeth was shot and there have not been any solid leads as far as we know and police have not made an arrest and even though it feels like the case has kind of slowed down the detectives have made it clear that this is not a gold case”

Eleanor Neale believes the Black Dahlia case will likely never be solved due to the passage of time and lack of reliable evidence.

“So I fear that at this point, the Black Dahlia case will never be solved.”

He claims that in many cases the most likely perpetrator is someone who is already known to the victim.

“Yeah, cuz most people are murdered by someone that they knew anyway, right? That's the that's most common murders. I think it's not just random. I think it's someone she knew.”

The owner of the restaurant bears responsibility for the unsolved nature of the murders because the security cameras were disabled.

“I don't think you can dispute that it had his security camera's been running we we might actually have images of of the Killer and it's so different than it just the equipment failing or running out of space or re re-recording over whatever there's always those excuses where you have like a little m”

The murder of Russell and Shirley Dermond was likely committed by at least two perpetrators who were familiar with the victims or their routine.

“Detectives have also been vocal about the fact that they believe that whoever did this was either two or more perpetrators. They believe that this was two or more people. They do not believe that only one person would have been able to carry out the crime the way that it did.”
