The Signal chat story is a manufactured media scandal intended to distract from actual past administrative scandals.

“I find it insulting how the media expects us to forget about all the big stories they covered up when they start screaming about something like signal like oh yeah we're supposed to listen to you”

The current focus on the Signal chat leak is a distraction that serves to preserve the relevance of media organizations.

“But really, it's their own irrelevant jobs they're trying to preserve. So don't toss them a lifeline. Let them sink.”
