A return to military conflict in Afghanistan is inevitable due to the growing threat posed by international terrorist organizations operating from there.

“yes I do think that we will have to go back and and and and my my my logic behind it is that the the the reemergence of international terrorism out of that safe haven is so profound um that everything that we're seeing from multiple very credible sources um is saying that not it's not a matter of if”

The host views the U.S. government's continued funding of the Taliban as an enraging issue and advocates for public awareness to demand accountability.

“But, you know, as messed up as that is, and as raging, as enraging as that is, it just shows that if you stand up for what you believe in, at least every once in a while, you can actually make a difference. And we did that here. And you guys did that at home by signing that petition, retweeting this”

He believes the Afghan people are in a struggle for freedom against a radical dictatorship and they are capable of reclaiming their country if provided support.

“I believe that he kept us alive for a reason and that's why ever since my purpose is to retake my country and bring back the Integrity that has been taken from my country”

The war in Afghanistan has not ended and the resistance continues to fight against terrorist groups like the Taliban and al-Qaeda.

“we believe as veteran I believe this war has not ended and the resistance on the ground they don't think this war has ended they see that this war has not ended on a daily basis they're carrying out operations against alqaeda Isis Taliban hakani and all of these other Terror networks”

The war in Afghanistan could not be won because the opposing force was willing to use levels of violence and brutality that the Western military was not willing to match.

“It's really hard to win a war against people who don't play by the same rules.”

The war felt unsustainable and counterproductive because strategic gains were lost as soon as U.S. forces left.

“like all the work that we did you know and like all the lives that were sacrificed and all this stuff to like get these strategic checkpoints in these places and do these things and all the IEDs that we had to find or function to get that thing and then as soon as the day that we leave the village a”

He suggests the US was initially effective at containing terrorists in the region before the surges occurred.

“I think we had it one after operation Anakonda pretty much after Tora where they all ran to Pakistan and we were really good at keeping people there and watching the border.”

The initial mission to defeat Al-Qaeda and remove the Taliban from power was justified, but the subsequent mission of nation-building was a mistake.

“it was a right thing to go there but this is not just a a conflict lost this is a societal loss we have we have this has been a gamechanging for Britain”
