Ten crew members walked off the Disney Magic in handcuffs at the B Street Cruise Terminal in San Diego. Still in uniform. Blazers, ties, name tags. A passenger named Dharmi Mehta filmed it — including the head server who had served her family breakfast less than an hour earlier. She knew he had two daughters. She could not find out where he was taken. For two weeks, nobody explained what happened. The operation was misidentified as an immigration sweep. Advocacy groups held a press conference defending workers they believed were immigration victims. They were not told the truth. When federal authorities finally confirmed the operation on May 7th, it was about CSAM involving children — not immigration. According to CBP, 27 crew across eight ships were allegedly involved. Ten came from the Disney Magic. That is 37 percent of the entire operation. The largest group from any single ship by a factor of more than two. Disney’s statement called it “a very small number.” On the same day those arrests happened, Disney announced a port deal doubling San Diego sailings and projecting over a million passengers through that same terminal.
