Accused Killer Bryan Kohberger is in court after cutting a deal to plead guilty to all four of the University of Idaho murder charges in exchange for four consecutive life sentences without parole--avoiding the death penalty. Prosecutors and some victims' families, like Ethan Chapin’s, support the agreement as a guaranteed conviction and a way to spare loved ones years of appeals, while others—especially the Goncalves and Kernodle families—are furious they weren’t consulted, calling the move “shocking,” “cruel,” and a betrayal of justice. Welcome to Surviving the Survivor, the show that brings you the #BestGuests in all of true crime. STS host Joel Waldman is covering this live hearing and will bring in analysis from STS #BestGuests.
