#HollyBobo #ZachAdams #livetrial Defense Diaries is LIVE covering the explosive post-conviction relief hearing for Zachary Adams, convicted in 2017 for the kidnapping, SA and murder of nursing student Holly Bobo. We watched the hearing LIVE on Friday and will now be going back to watch what happened on Thursday. What’s Happening: Zach Adams is seeking to overturn his life sentence after Jason Autry—the prosecution’s star witness whose testimony the trial judge called “some of the most credible, persuasive testimony I’ve ever heard”—has now completely recanted, admitting he fabricated the entire story to avoid a life sentence. Key Issues in This Hearing: ✅ Autry’s Recantation - Claims he “recreated his day and added Holly to it” using discovery material ✅ Newly Discovered Evidence - ATM footage showing defendants elsewhere during the crime ✅ Coerced Confession - Dylan Adams’ intellectually disabled brother placed with retired cop for 5 weeks before “confessing” ✅ Cell Phone Data - Expert testimony showing Zach’s phone and Holly’s phone in completely different sectors ✅ No Physical Evidence - Zero DNA or forensic evidence linking Adams to the crime ✅ Prosecutorial Misconduct Claims - Alleged Brady violations and suppressed exculpatory evidence Why This Matters: This case was built entirely on witness testimony—no physical evidence ever connected Adams to Holly Bobo. Now that foundation is crumbling. We’re analyzing the procedural requirements for post-conviction relief, the legal standard for recantation evidence, and whether the defense has met its burden for a new trial. Defense Diaries Difference: As criminal defense attorneys, Bob and Ali provide the insider perspective on what’s really happening in that courtroom—the evidentiary battles, the strategic decisions, and the legal standards that will determine if Zach Adams gets a new trial or remains in prison for life. 📌 Timeline: • April 13, 2011: Holly Bobo disappears • Sept 2014: Remains found • Sept 2017: Adams convicted, sentenced to life + 50 years • Dec 2023: Autry recants to psychologist • May 2025: Post-conviction hearing begins • Nov 19-20, 2025: Hearing resumes (CURRENT) Join the conversation as we break down the legal arguments, evaluate the evidence, and discuss what it takes to overturn a conviction in a case that captured national attention. 🔔 Subscribe for expert legal analysis on high-profile criminal cases 💬 Live chat during stream for Q&A #PostConvictionRelief #wrongfulconviction #defensediaries #truecrimecommunity #criminaljustice #tennessee #legalanalysis #lawyer
