His sister says he'd left Gypsy a month earlier, and the internet circulates a custody rumor no filing supports. In Massachusetts, the state called Sandra Birchmore's 2021 death a suicide for five years. Former Stoughton detective Matthew Farwell is on trial in federal court in Boston, charged with strangling her and staging it; he has pleaded not guilty. Three officers from her youth police program, including a deputy chief investigators say messaged her under a fake name, were never charged by the state. In Tennessee, the Department of Correction says it followed every step on September 30, and Christa Pike survived two doses of pentobarbital anyway.
