In separate calls, Natalie refers to the Russo family as “evil” for their statements in court and dismisses the entire conviction as a car accident, not a crime. Steve Shirilla, Mackenzie’s father, has gone on a podcast to argue his daughter’s innocence while a judge’s words describing her actions as “controlled, methodical, deliberate, intentional and purposeful” remain in the public record. Meanwhile, institutional records show Mackenzie has accumulated thirty-six conduct reports since entering state custody — found guilty in thirty-two of them. The citations include unauthorized medication, altered clothing, concealed contraband, creating disturbances, violations of video visit rules, and refusing work assignments.
