It’s hard to understand how love and passion can turn to hate and violence, but if you look at the studies, it seems the most common motive is jealousy. But when the woman in the relationship is the attacker, and the man is the victim, and there is a history of domestic violence between them, we have to examine the details a bit more closely, because for society as a whole, it’s hard to determine what is right, what is wrong, and what is a moral gray area. In January of 2019, after allegedly dealing with years of physical abuse and emotional neglect, 46 year old Danielle Redlick stabbed her husband of over a decade. It would be eleven hours before she would call 911 to report his death, at which time she claimed 65 year old Michael Redlick had died from a heart attack after stabbing himself. During a police investigation, law enforcement discovered that the true situation was not as straightforward as Danielle had made it seem, and she was soon under arrest for murder, but during her trial all of the details came out, painting a complicated picture of a relationship that had maybe always been far from perfect.
