Matthew Farwell texted a pregnant Sandra Birchmore that she was "truly the worst person on the face of the earth." Sandra Birchmore trial update: an FBI agent spent seven hours reading the former Stoughton police officer's messages to a Boston jury. The messages start with a night in April 2013, when Sandra was fifteen. He told her to "clear out" the text about it, and when she had, he wrote "Good girl." On January 20, 2021, a woman called his police station about him, and he texted Sandra: "What other friend will do this tomorrow." Three days later he asked her for a key. Nine days after that, she texted him that her door was open. Her phone locked for the last time as he walked in. Prosecutors allege he staged her death as a suicide. His defense says she took her own life. Cross-examination picks up with the paternity test the FBI got only after his arrest.
