USA v MATTHEW FARWELL Follow @GrantSmithEllis SUMMARY: Former Stoughton, MA Police Officer Matthew Farwell, 40, was federally indicted in August of 2024 in the 2/1/21 death of 23 year old Sandra Birchmore ( and later, her unborn child), whose death was ruled a su1cide by Massachusetts State Police until a Federal Investigation revealed otherwise. It is alleged that Farwell met Birchmore when she was 12 as part of a "Young Explorers" program for children run by the police department. The story becomes more repulsive and culminates in her pregnancy & staged su1cide. Did the federal investigation reveal new information, or did the MSP & Canton PD have the evidence all along?
