John follows a young teacher to San Francisco - "A middle aged English farmer in a New Age world." It wasn't easy. "Once, deeply upset to be challenged and crushed in front of a large audience - later, I was truly grateful. For it showed me the terrifying effects of the ego - and the blessings of being humbled - broken on the rack of my own pride." In this episode of the Inside Story series exploring more deeply the 'windows of realisation' in John's most popular book 'Wonders of Spiritual Unfoldment' (Chapter 12) John gets 'burned' and takes off into the Mohave Desert where he becomes a cook at Roy's cafe on Route 66 then takes off on a road trip and sees a herd of his blessed buffalo.
