Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen the creators and stars of Portlandia join Pete Holmes for an extra-weird episode of You Made It Weird! For eight seasons, Carrie and Fred turned Portland, Oregon into their own wonderfully absurd universe with Portlandia, creating unforgettable characters and sketches while lovingly skewering hipsters, indie culture, brunch, artisanal everything, and the dream of the ’90s. Outside of Portlandia, Carrie is a guitarist and vocalist for the legendary rock band Sleater-Kinney, as well as a writer, director, and actor, while Fred’s career spans Saturday Night Live, Documentary Now!, Los Espookys, stand-up, acting, writing, and a lifelong obsession with music. Now Carrie and Fred are back together for Podlandia: A-O Rewatch, their new weekly Portlandia rewatch podcast. The two are revisiting all 77 episodes of the series, sharing behind-the-scenes stories, memories from the set, how their characters and sketches came together, and conversations with friends and collaborators from the show. Pete, Carrie, and Fred get into comedy, music, creativity, collaboration, the strange alchemy that made Portlandia work, and what it feels like to revisit something you created together more than 15 years after it began. They talk about finding funny characters, trusting your creative instincts, making things with your friends, and all the wonderfully weird places a life in comedy can take you. Whether you’re a longtime Portlandia fan, a Sleater-Kinney devotee, an SNL obsessive, or you’ve been following Carrie and Fred’s work for years, this one’s for you. 🎙️ Listen to Podlandia: A-O Rewatch with Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein 📺 Revisit all eight seasons of Portlandia. 🎸 Listen to Sleater-Kinney wherever you stream music. 🎧 Subscribe to You Made It Weird for new episodes every week. #CarrieBrownstein #FredArmisen #PeteHolmes #YouMadeItWeird #Portlandia #Podlandia #SleaterKinney #SNL #ComedyPodcast ================================================= SUPPORT OUR SPONSORS Thank you VITA COCO for being our official ON SET BEVERAGE Get 25% off and get Vita Coco shipped to your door by using code WEIRD20 https://vitacoco.com LMNT USE PROMO CODE: WEIRD FOR YOUR FREE SAMPLE PACK https://drinklmnt.com/weird RO BODY SEE IF YOUR INSURANCE COVERS GLP-1S FOR FREE http://ro.co/weird ARTICLE GET $50 OFF YOUR 1ST ORDER OF $100 OR MORE http://article.com/weird 3 DAY BLINDS BUY ONE GET ONE FOR 50% OFF http://3dayblinds.com/weird
